Introduction

Galvanometer-based scanner, commonly called “galvo”, contains swing motor, position detector and an optical reflecting mirror. The signal provided by the computer controller amplifier driver drives the optical scanner, so that the laser beam will deflect in X-Y plane. In this demonstration system, the optical scanning is a vector scanning. The scanning speed determines the stability of scanning patterns. The optical platform consists of diode laser, beam expander, dual-axis galvanometer, F-theta lens and image screen. Users can edit text or patterns with the software and tune the parameters until they get the best result.
